The Community Outreach & Recovery Navigators at Greenwoods help those struggling with addiction as well as their loved ones. We travel the county to meet with clients, families, and community organizations. Our services are free, confidential, and available for anyone living or working in Litchfield County.

Litchfield County Opiate Task Force

The Litchfield County Opiate Task Force, formed in December of 2013, is led by the McCall Center and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. It has more than 60 members including the Torrington Chief of Police Michael Maniago, Mayor Elinor Carbone, CT State Representatives Roberta Willis and Michelle Cook, CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Community Health and Wellness, Campion Ambulance, the Torrington Area Health District, local substance abuse and mental health treatment providers, people in recovery and parents of those struggling with addiction.

Greenwoods’ Executive Director, John Simoncelli, is proud to be a member of the Executive Committee of the Task Force. Our Outreach team also works closely with the Litchfield County Opiate Task Force to provide harm reduction and other services to the community.
